What’s up everyone?

This week was great.  We moved our English class to Sunday so the branch could come. The entire branch came! It was great; they all have a basic understanding of English so we didn’t start from scratch. We finally had our first investigator come to church! It was Awesome!  As for skyping, I don’t really know what’s going on. We are skyping for sure next week. On the 12th.

As for the week, it was great. I can’t believe that in a week, I’ll be out for 3 months.  That’s so crazy. The language is coming each week. I find my ability to speak progressing.  It’s awesome!  Today we went shopping and I found some soccer balls for sale.....  It was like finding the Holy Grail! Everything American is super cheap. You could live like a king for like 300 dollars. The soccer ball was 240 pesos which is like 7 dollars. Chad you know the speaker you gave me, we used it so much we blew out the bass.

This week was my first exchange, meaning another missionary came to be my companion for a day. It was my first time being separated from Elder Andrada.  The exchange went great.

This week, the craziest thing happened. Last Monday, we received this text from this guy asking us if we can teach him. We taught him and He accepted to be baptized.  We are praying that he continues to grow. Literally an investigator fell from the sky.
Send the package as soon as possible. Unfortunately the packages have to be sent to the mission office.  The mission office is:

152 Rizal Street,
Barangay Sagpon
Daraga, Albay Philippines

Love you so much! Send pictures please! I like to see people’s faces.  I love you

Hey guys,

Another week down! I can't believe that I’m half way done with my training  Well, this week was crazy. We had many trials this week. We're trying our best. They are putting two more elders in our area next week. We're still trying to get our first investigator to Church and no baptism yet. We get to baptize at the beach because they don’t have a chapel or a baptismal font.

How is everyone?  HAYLEY your in freaking NEW YORK! That’s so awesome. Stew,  where are you going to fly fish now?  Tyler is about to graduate LAW SCHOOL!  Marlee is about to become a Texas woman.  I LOVE IT. Chad and Anna keep on going strong with work!  Chad,  don’t think for a second that you can beat me in golf. They have golf courses here and for our next district activity, we're going to play as a district.

During our last district activity,  which was my first one, everyone gets together and we play sports.  I don’t know how that is going to work when they put sister  missionaries in our district next week. However,  we played basketball, soccer, and PING PONG!  Every chapel has a ping pong table. The activity turned  into a mini  Olympics. I was the UNITED STATES! There was an Elder from  Australia and the rest were from the  Philippines.  DON’T worry.  I represented the country well BY GOING UNDEFEATED!  GET IT?  Then we had a chess tournament. For whatever reason, after a couple of games, everyone was cheering against me . . .  SHOCKER? When  I asked why? They said, "your American, you win at everything" ha-ha

During church,  the first counselor asked me to give him some tips for his basketball team. There were portions of the meeting where we were drawing up plays for his team. Ha-ha
The language is coming more and more each week.

Love ya so much!
Elder Hernandez
